introduction to cats

cats, though they are small and adorable, are much like us. in fact, many of earths creatures all desire the same things: food, comfort, shelter, sex, and play. i like to use halsows heirarchy of human needs for most things, but cut off the last three layers. humans are more complicated creatures in the sense that we have the capability to think of ones self, but cats still have much the same drives as we do, excpet they dont get self concious about thier actions. and it is much splendid to have a creature in your house who will unabashled lick its balls right on your lap. however, you must consider your cat as much like yourself when you iteract with it. and honestly, learning to respect your cat will teach you how to respect others. see, when you first get a cat, you have to remember that you are 4-5 feet taller than it, have hands that grab, and have probably just put it into a box, and worst of all, it has entirely no idea why. think about your cat from its own perspective. when you birng your cat into a new house, keep it small and simple. keep it in one room. keep the room clean, and give it spaces to hide - it has not idea if youre safe. then, give it some alone time sometimes, and then other times simply exist in the room with it. the cat will eventually get the clue that you wont try to kill it everytime it moves. and after a day or so, itll probably get curious about you. invite the cat to observe you, get on its level, and keep your grabbers balled and away from it so it knows thats not your intention. and, if all of your intentions to your cat show it that it is safe, loved,
